great location.Pleasant room . Restaurant food very good and resonably priced. Friendly bar with friday & Saturday entertainment. Band on Saturday evening during our stay was great playing a range of music from Take That to The Eagles!

The riverside location is fantastic for a quick escape, with access to scenic walks along the water. The large leather sofas in the bar area provide a perfect spot for unwinding after a long day.
The reception and hallways look like they could use some love. There's a certain mustiness to them that detracts from the initial impression. The rooms, particularly the Superior Double, feel stuck in the past with cheap furniture, requiring an upgrade to match the views from the windows. My room had a sash window that barely opened, leaving the room a bit too warm. The bathroom tiles show their age, and a modern touch would really elevate the experience.

It was just a great fit for a fleeting moment in Llangollen with good price-quality ratio. The location is excellent. The free car park had plenty of room. Just ensure you're okay with hard beds!

I have been to the Hand Hotel several times and I am going again with my children in July. I think it is excellent value for money, the staff throughout the hotel are all extremely pleasant and very hard working, they will always make sure you have everything you wish for. The location is amazing and central for everything in Llangollen and the food especiallt the breakfast is first class - Well Done!

The hotel is well situated in the town, but away from noisy traffic, and has lovely views. The room was recently refurbished to a good standard, although the effect can be diminished by such things as adding coats to poorly prepared paintwork, shoddy carpet fitting, and placing stained chairs in a nice bay. Nothing serious, but you notice. Breakfast was good, as was the service in all cases.
As before, little things such as the unrepaired sash window, a thick crust of corrosion on the toilet waste pipe, the impossible shower, set at 7ft above the bath and totally unsuitable for anyone under 5ft 9ins, and the sink in the bedroom. I suggest that the bath be removed, and a power shower and sink be added to the bathroom. Room 33.

The gardens were lovely, and it was great that we could chill out by the river after a day of exploring. The scenic railway was just a short walk away, and the cozy bar had fantastic views with big windows.

Helpful efficient staff, clean, comfortable if unexciting room, wonderful breakfast, good location overlooking river in town centre.
Rather noisy, though admittedly we were there on a Saturday night and were warned about the rock group. We were lucky with carpark, otherwise parking with my disabled mother might have been problematic.

The location situated in a quiet area of the town and the garden whic is set above the river Dee. The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave an excellent service.
Similar to other reviews the Hotel is a little dated.
